Child Custody & Divorce Lawyers in Hanover, PA

What is Family Law?

Attorney Kalasnik represents people dealing with divorce, marital separation, child custody, child support, protection from abuse orders, child adoptions and all related family matters.  Generally, this involves people who are in any kind of a dispute with a spouse or a family member, girlfriend, boyfriend, or other family or household members.  The sooner someone involved in this type of matter talks to a family law attorney the more the attorney can help.

Many family law cases can be settled out of court.  If an agreement is reached between you and the opposing party I will negotiate with that person’s attorney to prepare a written Settlement Agreement.  Once the agreement is signed by you and the opposing person it can be filed in court and entered as a court order.  It will then be binding and enforceable against you and the other person but you will not have to go to court if a written settlement can be achieved.

Where no agreement can be reached then I will represent you at court hearings required to resolve the issues.  These hearings are in the county court before a judge or another attorney who is appointed by a judge acting as a hearing officer.  If urgent or emergency matters arise I can quickly prepare papers to be filed in court to have a judge address the issue.
